Exercise 01.01: Graphic Design 101

Goal

The goal of this project is to chal­lenge your cre­ativ­ity, to rethink the obvi­ous and begin the process of con­cept development.

Objective

Draw­ing 100 visual vari­a­tions of a con­cep­tual object, rep­re­sented by a word, encour­ages risk tak­ing, resource­ful­ness, and abstract thought. Edit­ing the pool to a “best” forces a process of deci­sion mak­ing and intent.
