Assignment

Utilizing a final assessment activity to evaluate the success of a project, especially an interdisciplinary one, is key to maximizing the design process. Using comments and suggestions for previous evaluations, discussions, client meetings and classroom critiques, create a short report that summarizes what was created and delivered, what groups were involved, and how the project was received. Feel free to reference any conflicts, failures or disappointments, as well as compatibilities, successes and achievements. Additional commentary should describe what was learned from and what was taught to these outside groups. Finally, briefly describe any future plans that were not possible due to other pressures, such as timeline, budget or approvals.

The report is intended for “internal use only,” so feel free to record personnel names and position or event specifics, but please take a professional and constructive tone in the narrative.

Part One

Brainstorm and outline the comments and events, including any information referenced in previous reports. This summary can reference these titles as needed, especially to direct the viewer to additional technical specifics.

Part Two

Create a 500 to 1000 word report that addresses the discoveries outlined in Part One, and from the previous project reports. Clearly delineated the any findings and observations.

Create a short presentation with your experience, focusing on what was learned from the entire process. Supplement the findings with any diagrams, charts or dynamic media necessary to clarify and visualize the event. The presentation should be 2–3 minutes in length and may have up to 5 slides. Presentation format is important, but no limitations on media, authoring software or design. Combine all notes and materials from Parts One and Two into a single PDF.
