Goal
Learn to use contemporary tools to expand the design process.
Objective
Expand the design process by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to combine two symbols or logos into a series of hybrid ones to explore possible solutions.

Exercise:
Using symbols from previous or in-process assignments, generate image-based forms and prompt an image based AI program to develop a series combined marks. As the tools advance, the ability to use them for creative purposes expands for those without necessary hand skills or time before a deadline.
Part One
Decide which programs will provide the best possible opportunities. Various levels of features are part of each program and any associated costs. No purchase are required, only optional. Research use of potential choices, focus on options, variations, operations and tricks
Develop list of prompts using the links above, plus any found for combining images. Document these prompts in a text editor.
Part Two
Export opposite images created through the course of another project. Each program will utilize different tools, but generate the image format best utilized with the program, generally a raster images, but possibly a vector.
Recreate, upload and or prompt the program to combine the images. Download and save the resulting images, and repeat as often as necessary to get at least three (3) distinct solutions. Convert any image file to a vector for use in vector applications.
Create a PDF from the files, including the text prompts, and deliver it to the appropriate D2L Dropbox.
Assessment
- The following rubric posted on D2L will determine exercise score: Exercise Grading
Materials
Adobe illustrator or other vector drawing program, Acrobat Professional
Deadlines
As defined by corresponding calendar item, dropbox, discussion or content topic description.
