Assignment 07.11: Professional Portfolio Assessment

Goal

The goal of this assign­ment is to review each indi­vid­ual student’s port­fo­lio prior to begin­ning the pro­fes­sional employ­ment process.

Objective

The objec­tive of this assign­ment is to review each stu­den­t’s work com­pleted prior to the assign­ment dead­line. This assign­ment cor­re­lates with the WPA-AGRD-Pro­fes­sional Port­fo­lio Assessment.

Assignment

Stu­dents will col­lect project sam­ples for projects com­pleted dur­ing the course of instruc­tion. Gen­er­ally from ART 218 Graphic Design I onward. Present free­lance and intern­ship projects as well.

Part One

Col­lect all projects com­pleted dur­ing your design courses, intern­ships, employ­ment or free­lance activ­i­ties. Dig­i­tal ver­sions (PDF or JPG) are accept­able for the first review. Assem­ble the files into one of three cat­e­gories based on qual­ity: def­i­nitely include, needs work, not sure.

Part Two

Review the assem­bled work with the course instruc­tor. Take care­ful note of the com­ments and cor­rec­tions. Make plans to imple­ment the cor­rec­tions. Deliver notes in PDF or DOCX for­mat to appro­pri­ate D2L Dropbox.

Part Three

Imple­ment the projects into your cur­rent port­fo­lio setup. Add new works to web­site and to printed mate­ri­als. Upload appro­pri­ate PDF and links to D2L.
