Background

Assignment

Hav­ing a solid under­stand­ing of the tech­nol­ogy under­ly­ing the inter­net as it is presently known is key to under­stand­ing the more advanced soft­ware and usabil­ity func­tions that are used daily. Review the appro­pri­ate pages in Rob­bins’ Learn­ing Web Design and com­plete the required exer­cises to explore these subjects.

Part One

Read Chap­ter 23, 24 and 25 in Rob­bins’ Learn­ing Web Design. Using the pro­vided files, save the sam­ple images in each of the appro­pri­ate for­mats, first choos­ing the type (flat or con­tin­u­ous tone) and then the cor­rect for­mat (.jpg, .webp, .gif, etc). Next, cre­ate a set of fav­i­con using the tools on the chapter.

Part Two

Com­plete exer­cises 24–1 to 24–3 in Chap­ter 24 of Rob­bins’ Learn­ing Web Design. Feel free to turn in a set of files for any lessons that are sequential.
